II PUNKANDCHURROS

Este pasado sábado día 6 ha sido el II PunkAndChurros en Sevilla, y mi primer torneo de Punkapocalyptic, la verdad es que ha estado muy bien. Estoy bastante contento con todo, voy a explicar un poco la cosa.

This past Saturday the 6th was the II PunkAndChurros in Seville, and my first Punkapocalyptic tournament, the truth is that it was very good. I'm quite happy with everything, I'll explain things a little.

 

 

En Navidad contacté con el comando sevillano que juega a Punka y poco después fue Mario, un amigo de cuando al Asociación 216, el que me preguntó por Punka al ver que yo pintaba minis. Él fue Punkamonger en Sevilla junto a Luismi, los metí en el grupo de Andalucía de Punka, y mira, la cosa ha cuajado y muy bien. Hablando con los veteranos de Punka de Sevilla me dicen que están muy contentos con cómo está la cosa ahora, con mucho movimiento (es el segundo torneo grande, además de partidas introductorias y quedadas), por lo que me sentía un poco responsable de que todo vaya funcionando, y como quería aprender a jugar me apunté al torneo.

At Christmas I contacted the Sevillian team that plays Punka and shortly after it was Mario, a friend from when I was at Asociación 216, who asked me about Punka when he saw that I painted minis. He was Punkamonger in Seville with Luismi, I put them in the Andalusian group of Punka, and look, things have taken off and very well. Speaking with the veterans of Punka de Sevilla, they tell me that they are very happy with how things are now, with a lot of movement (it is the second big tournament, in addition to introductory and meet-up games), so I felt a little responsible for everything It was working, and since I wanted to learn how to play, I signed up for the tournament.

 

Me hice una banda basada en la básica que aparece en la página web de Punkapocalyptic, añadiendo una mini más y equipamiento, pero nada complicado. Iría con Pandilleros, que por lo visto son eficientes y fáciles de manejar. Me gustan más los Mutardos, pero bueno, para otra ocasión.

I made a band based on the basic one that appears on the Punkapocalyptic website, adding one more mini and equipment, but nothing complicated. I would go with Pandilleros, who apparently are efficient and easy to manage. I like the Mutards better, but hey, for another time.

Preparé las miniaturas, tuve que pintar a dos corriendo, y luego un trasfondo, eso sí que me anima, jeje. Estuve a punto de ponerme a hacer una base expositora para mi banda, tengo una gasolinera de la película Cars perfecta, pero creo que quedará mejor para Hijos de la Sangre Negra, y además no tenía tiempo de dejarla como quería, y para acabar corriendo y sin calidad no me meto.

I prepared the miniatures, I had to paint two running, and then a background, that really cheers me up, hehe. I was about to start making a display base for my band, I have a perfect gas station from the movie Cars, but I think it would be better for Hijos de la Sangre Negra, and besides I didn't have time to leave it the way I wanted, and to end up running and Without quality I don't get involved.

Y llegó el sábado 6, día de Torneo. Al principio un poco extraño: Pocas minis, un solo dado, llego y aparco cerca, conozco a varios jugadores, nos vamos a desayunar churros con chocolate, como era preceptivo... todo bien.

Y la cosa sigue igual, porque hay muy buen ambiente, y mis tres contrincantes bastante bien, in crescendo, diría yo, además de unas partidas muy divertidas, y en las que he tenido de todo, hasta he conseguido ganar una, y salir masacrado solo en una.

Muchos regalos de la organización, que ha estado genial, una hamburguesa muy buena para almorzar, y las tres partidas antes del almuerzo, para por la tarde, solo la entrega de premios, a las 6 y media estaba ya de vuelta en casa. La verdad es que super bien.

And Saturday the 6th arrived, Tournament day. At first a little strange: Few minis, only one die, I arrive and park nearby, I know several players, we are going to have churros with chocolate for breakfast, as was mandatory... all good.  

And things remain the same, because there is a very good atmosphere, and my three opponents are doing quite well, in crescendo, I would say, in addition to some very fun games, and in which I have had everything, I have even managed to win one, and come out massacred only in one.  

Many gifts from the organization, which has been great, a very good hamburger for lunch, and the three games before lunch, for the afternoon, only the awards ceremony, at 6:30 I was already back home. The truth is that it's super good.

Luego, una vez en casa, me he puesto a hacer informes de batalla de mis tres partidas, tomé algunos apuntes durante las mismas y aunque estoy rematando la última, creo que va a quedar bien.

Then, once home, I started making battle reports of my three games, I took some notes during them and although I am finishing the last one, I think it will turn out well.

UNA DE CHURROS PARA CAIT. TRASFONDO 

Y por último comento mis tres partidas. En la primera jugué contra David Miranda, creo que es de Madrid, venía con el gran CARONTE, y fue el ganador final del torneo. El escenario se llamaba "¿Qué tienes ahí escondío. Gachón?. Se daban cuatro misiones secretas con cartas a cada participante y debía intentar lograrlas en seis turnos, a razón de 5 puntos por misión lograda.

Me tocó abatir a un enemigo previamente elegido por mí, hacer una pintada en un elemento escenográfico de su zona de despliegue, asaltar a una miniatura enemiga por la espalda y acabar controlando una miniatura que no hacía nada de mi enemigo.

Nada más empezar comencé a notar el fuego abrasador de la derrota, parecía que no iba a lograr nada, sus Chatarreros me lanzaban arpones como si nada y fueron cayendo minis mías, sin embargo, en el segundo turno logré matar al que había elegido, bien, 5 puntos, y luego fui defendiéndomes y encerrándome hasta lograr asaltar por la espalda a otra mini, que luego logré matar. 

Al final solo sobrevivió Igor, el Bruto, pero suficiente para que no fuese partida decisiva y perder 20-10.

And finally I comment on my three games. In the first one I played against David Miranda, I think he is from Madrid, he came with the great CARONTE, and he was the final winner of the tournament. The scenario was called "What have you hidden there, Guy?". Four secret missions with cards were given to each participant and they had to try to achieve them in six turns, at a rate of 5 points per mission achieved. 

I had to kill an enemy previously chosen by me, paint a piece of scenery in his deployment area, assault an enemy model from behind and end up controlling a model that was doing nothing like my enemy.  

As soon as I started I began to notice the burning fire of defeat, it seemed like I wasn't going to achieve anything, their Junkers threw harpoons at me as if nothing had happened and my minis were falling, however, in the second turn I managed to kill the one I had chosen, well , 5 points, and then I defended myself and locked myself in until I managed to assault another mini from behind, which I then managed to kill. 

In the end only Igor, the Brute, survived, but enough so that it was not a decisive game and they lost 20-10.

Para el segundo escenario, "Ve por la sombrita. Vé con cuidao", mi rival iba a ser Vicente, con una banda de Hijos de la Sangre Negra con un Ignis Culliningus a la cabeza, solo seis minis, pero amenazantes. 

Había que controlar cinco objetivos, que no eran otra cosa que sombrillas, repartidas por la mesa, se apuntaban los puntos cada ronda, por lo que decidí comenzar fuerte, y poco a poco fui ganando terreno, poniéndome con un 1-7 a mi favor y controlando el centro de la mesa, donde había un objetivo que valía 3 puntos. Logré matar a Ignis en la tercera ronda, pero me mató a Cait, y luego fue remontando, cada vez que mataba a un Hijo de la Sangre Negra, se convertía en berseker, revivía un turno más y luego moría, pero casi siempre se llevaba a alguien por delante. 

Y por si fuera poco empatábamos los duelos enfrentados y nos dábamos de hostias los dos, al final con el marcador 6-9 pude lograr la victoria de forma pírrica, conseguí meter a Page en busca de una sombrilla que valía dos puntos, dejándole la de tres puntos a él, pero con dos turnos solo por delante, me atacó a Page por la espalda, pero tuve suerte y repelí el ataque, para a continuación matar a su Quemado, y mantenerme por encima en el marcador, sumando un 14-13, y es que además de los 13 puntos por controlar sombrillas, pude escupir a una mini rival abatida para sumar un punto por misión.

Una partida que me encantó por mi rival, y por cómo se desarrolló, además logré una victoria.

For the second scenario, "Go for the little shadow. Go carefully", my rival was going to be Vicente, with a band of Children of the Black Blood with an Ignis Culliningus at the head, only six minis, but threatening.  

 I had to control five objectives, which were nothing more than umbrellas, distributed around the table, the points were scored each round, so I decided to start strong, and little by little I gained ground, putting myself with a 1-7 in my favor and controlling the center of the table, where there was an objective worth 3 points. I managed to kill Ignis in the third round, but he killed Cait, and then he went back up, every time he killed a Son of the Black Blood, he became a berserker, revived one more turn and then died, but he almost always took to someone ahead. 

And as if that were not enough, we tied the duels we faced and we both gave each other hell, in the end with the score 6-9 I was able to achieve victory in a pyrrhic way, I managed to get Page in search of an umbrella that was worth two points, leaving him the three points to him, but with only two turns left, he attacked Page from behind, but I was lucky and repelled the attack, then killed his Quemado, and stayed ahead on the scoreboard, adding a 14-13 , and in addition to the 13 points for controlling umbrellas, I was able to spit on a downed mini rival to add one point per mission. 

A game that I loved because of my opponent, and because of how it developed, and I also achieved a victory.

 

En el tercer escenario me enfrenté a Pablo, que llevaba Slashers, una subfacción de Psicokillers, con Freddy Krueger, el T-1000 de Terminator, Leatherface de La Matanza de Texas, un par de Chukys, un Glotón con forma de Muñeco come donuts de Cazafantasmas y dos Gremlins como despojos. Una banda que daba miedo, y que encima tenía cosas muy raras para un novato como yo. Sobre todo los tres jefes podían teletransportarse a donde quisieran, eso sí, aparecían en lugares que no estuvieran visibles para una mini mía, y ahí se me fue la partida.

El escenario "Ojalá que llueva Punkampo en el campo" consistía en controlar seis objetivos que eran barriles de jerveja Punkampo, que podías abrir o no, valiendo al final de la partida tres o un punto.

Intenté llegar a los primeros barriles y abrí uno, pensando que eso me daría 3 puntos ya, pero no, era al final, debía resistir, y aunque maté a los Chukys, mis minis fueron cayendo una a una, los ataques por la espalda fueron mi perdición. 14-0. Pero buen sabor de boca y un rival muy agradable.

In the third scenario I faced Pablo, who was wearing Slashers, a subfaction of Psicokillers, with Freddy Krueger, the T-1000 from Terminator, Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, a couple of Chukys, a Gluton shaped like a Donut-eating Doll from Ghostbusters and two Gremlins as spoils. A band that was scary, and that on top of that had very strange things for a newbie like me. Above all, the three bosses could teleport wherever they wanted, although they appeared in places that were not visible to a mini of mine, and that was where the game ended.  

The scenario "I hope it rains Punkampo on the field" consisted of controlling six objectives that were barrels of Punkampo weed, which you could open or not, worth three or one point at the end of the game. 

I tried to get to the first barrels and opened one, thinking that that would give me 3 points, but no, it was at the end, I had to resist, and although I killed the Chukys, my minis fell one by one, the attacks from behind were my downfall. 14-0. But good taste in the mouth and a very pleasant rival.

Acabadas las partidas comimos unas hamburguesas muy ricas y luego un buen rato de entrega de premios, donde nos regalaron muchas cosas, entre ellas tres miniaturas de o para Punka. Ah, y un décimo segundo puesto de los dieciséis participantes, no está mal.

A las cuatro y media más o menos estaba todo acabado. Sin duda para repetir.

After the games we ate some very delicious hamburgers and then a good time at the awards ceremony, where they gave us many things, including three miniatures of or for Punka. Oh, and a twelfth place out of the sixteen participants, not bad. 

At four thirty or so everything was finished. Without a doubt to repeat.
