Con motivo de las FreakWars, donde voy a llevar la maqueta, he querido añadirle un par de cosillas que tenía en mente para las Hispania y que no me dieron tiempo a ejecutar.

En primer lugar he añadido un mogollón de velas y de calaveras por los ocho módulos, ha sido bastante engorroso, ya que había que cortar, pintar, repintar, pegar y luego volver a pintar en el caso de las calaveras más sangre y en el de las velas las propias velas, en cuanto a los naranjas, amarillos y rojos, y luego los reflejos que dan a su alrededor.

Por otro lado por fin he añadido la lámpara que cuelga en la película de la gran piedra del techo, creo que ha quedado bien, estoy satisfecho con el resultado final.

Y para acabar he hecho una tirolina para el Escriba, para que se deslice desde una de las partes superiores a la plataforma del Rey Trasgo, una cadenita y un poco de empuje para que baje bien. Fue una idea que me dio alguien que estuvo viendo la maqueta en Málaga y me dijo "Oye, pues estaría chulo que el Escriba se lanzara por la cuerda como en la peli"... y mira, hecho. 

On the occasion of the FreakWars, where I am going to take the model, I wanted to add a couple of things that I had in mind for the Hispania and that I did not have time to execute. First of all I have added a ton of candles and skulls for the eight modules, it has been quite cumbersome, since we had to cut, paint, repaint, paste and then paint again in the case of the skulls plus blood and in the case of the candles the candles themselves, in terms of the oranges, yellows and reds, and then the reflections that they give around them. 

On the other hand, I have finally added the lamp that hangs in the film from the large stone on the ceiling, I think it turned out well, I am satisfied with the final result.  

And to finish I have made a zip line for the Scribe, so that he slides from one of the upper parts to the Goblin King's platform, a little chain and a little push so that he can go down well. It was an idea that someone who was seeing the model in Málaga gave me and told me "Hey, it would be cool if the Scribe jumped down the rope like in the movie"... and look, done.

Después de poner la espuma de poliuretano tocaba el momento de dar un poco de textura al terreno, así que preparé un mejungue a base de cola blanca, agua y arena de distintos grosores para aplicarla por toda la base, y de camino a algunas otras partes. Aún no está acabado el trabajo con la espuma de poliuretano, pero lo que falta, principalmente una sola esquina alta, ya la haré cuando esté el texturizado seco, que lleva un par de días secándose, creo que lo diluí demasiado...

 

After putting the polyurethane foam it was time to give the terrain a bit of texture, so I prepared a concoction based on white glue, water and sand of different thicknesses to apply it all over the base, and on the way to some other parts . The work with the polyurethane foam is not finished yet, but what is missing, mainly a single high corner, I will do it when the texturing is dry, which has been drying for a couple of days, I think I diluted it too much...

Pues eso, hora de hacer el terreno rocoso. Yo lo hice la otra vez con espuma de poliuretano y no voy a cambiarlo ahora, así que dos botes que tengo aquí voy a usar, y si hace falta alguno más pues me pillaré otro.

Ah, y he colocado antes de que seque, unos trozos de corcho que van a dar una ruptura en el terreno para que no sea tan monótono.

AMPLIANDO LA CIUDAD BAJO LA MONTAÑA

Desde hace unos meses tenía en mente ampliar mi mesa de La Ciudad Bajo la Montaña, o La Ciudad de los Trasgos, la que aparece en El Hobbit, y es que aunque estoy más que satisfecho con lo que tengo hecho, creo que le faltan cosas, sobre todo echaba en falta el trono del Rey Trasgo, y para ello, hace poco, me comprometí a llevar la mesa a las Hispania para hacer partidas de iniciación, y ya de camino, hacerle la amplación que quería.

Al principio iba a ser montar un par más de módulos de forma que pudiera organizar los 6 de varias formas, al igual que ahora mismo puedo hacer hasta 6 configuraciones diferentes con los 4 módulos que hay.

Pero luego se me ocurrió hacer algo más espectacular, ponerle paredes y techo, poner pasarelas por las paredes, puentes colgantes... y por supuesto la piedra que sale del fondo de la montaña y en la que está el Trono del Rey Trasgo.

Para ello he decidido ampliar con 4 módulos más de 60x60 cm, y a dos de ellos hacerles paredes en dos de sus laterales y un techo de 120x60 que los una, quedando una parte cerrada.

But then it occurred to me to do something more spectacular, put walls and a roof on it, put walkways through the walls, suspension bridges... and of course the stone that comes out of the bottom of the mountain and on which is the Throne of the Goblin King. 

For this I have decided to expand with 4 more modules of 60x60 cm, and two of them make walls on two of their sides and a 120x60 ceiling that joins them, leaving a closed part.

 

 

Va a ser una tarea complicada, pero tengo muchas ganas de ponerme, y hoy por fin he estado un rato liado cortando poliestireno extrusionado. Hasta ahora, con las fiestas, no me había podido poner, solo había estado cortando palitos de madera para hacer maderos con los que hacer las pasarelas, he hecho hasta una para ver cómo queda, y no queda nada mal.

Pero hoy si que he hecho el replanteo de las zonas horizontales, que van a ser lor primero que haga, y luego ya me pondré con las paredes y techo.

But today I have done the rethinking of the horizontal areas, which will be the first thing I do, and then I'll start with the walls and ceiling.

MI PRIMER TAPETE

MY FIRST GAME MAT

Después de muchos años jugando a El Señor de los Anillos y otros juegos, pero principalmente a El Señor de los Anillos, creo que para una partida rápida y que quede bien lo mejor son los tapetes, que además hay muchísima variedad y calidad.

Hasta ahora nunca me había atrevido a tener uno, siempre pensaba que no le sacaría provecho, pero hace unas semanas me encontré uno por Wallapop a muy buen precio, de neopreno, como yo quería, y con un diseño bastante general, así que decidí comprarlo.

Ya lo tengo en casa e incluso lo he usado un par de veces, mide 90x180, es de DeepCut Studio, y la verdad es que he quedado muy satisfecho, lo cual va a hacer que piense en pillarme alguno más, con temática distinta para otras partidas en otros ambientes.

Y aquí está la mesa acabada, o mayormente acabada, porque luego siempre se antojan algunos detallitos y yo ya estoy maquinando cosas para añadirle, sin que sean muy llamativas o grandes, pero sí algunas cosillas.

En fin, os pongo fotos primero de algunos pasos anteriores al final, y luego las fotos de todo acabado.

Por fin he acabado las tiendas, al final descubrí que tenía cuatro modelos diferentes, y además ya he encargado, y estoy esperando que me lleguen otros dos modelos de Tiny Furniture, una marca rusa más que recomendable. Esas nuevas tiendas son más normales, no tienen tanto aspecto de salvaje, pero me gustan más incluso. En fin, cuando lleguen subo fotos y podréis decidir.

Finally I finished the stores, at the end I discovered that I had four different models, and I have already ordered, and I am waiting for two more models of Tiny Furniture, a more than recommended Russian brand.
