MORANNON

 Desde que salieron los Orcos de Morannon quedó claro que eran una gran facción, ya que tanta miniatura de plástico iba a ser fácilmente converesionable, así que siempre fue uno de mis ejércitos favoritos, de los poco con los que juego. Y para pintarlos, usando rojos, marrones y luego plateado para armaduras y armas... fácil y con un gran resultado.

Mi ejército consta de 12 compañías, la primera es la de Gothmog en wargo, las dos versiones antiguas, la tercera, la que salió hace poco, tengo aún que pintarla. Pronto caerá, seguramente.

Since the Morannon Orcs came out it was clear that they were a great faction, since so many plastic miniatures were going to be easily convertible, so it was always one of my favorite armies, one of the few that I play with. And to paint them, using red, brown and then silver for armor and weapons... easy and with great results. 

My army consists of 12 companies, the first one is Gothmog's in wargo, the two old versions, the third one, the one that came out recently, I have yet to paint it. It will fall soon, surely.

Luego tenemos dos compañías de Héroes, con Gothmog al frente de nuevo en las dos versiones y arropado por su ayudante, Gurtiz, y Goroth, además de un Zagdûsh que aunque es Capitán orco, siempre va en este ejército.

En la otra tenemos un chamán, el portaestandarte, y algunos capitanes.

Y para completar el ejército, por el momento, nueve compañías de Orcos con sus ropajes rojos. Muchísimos conversionados, y es que como ya he dicho, es fácil cambiar armas, brazos, escudos, poses... una gozada si tienes un poco de mano. Por mi parte incluso hay miniaturas de otras marcas.

Mientras espero a que llegue Noviembre para empezar la compañía para El Desafío de noviembre estoy con ganas de pintar, y he aprovechado para ir quitándome cosas que tenía empezadas, el otro día acabé las 6 tiendas de campaña del Campamento Orco, y justo al lado tenía nueve miniaturas de Orcos de Morannon empezadas, con solo la capa base de las ropas rojas, así que me puse ayer con el metalizado y demás y por la noche conseguí acabarlas enteras, y eso que tuve un día complicado, pero bueno, saqué tiempo y lo he conseguido.

Son siete miniaturas de GW y dos alternativas, ambas de un Kickstarter de hace ya un tiempo y que me pillé casi entero. Son minis de Ridgeback Miniatures que creo casan muy bien con las de Morannon con el pintado adecuado, y creo que han quedado bien.

They are seven miniatures of GW and two alternatives, both of a Kickstarter from a while ago and that I caught almost whole. They are Ridgeback Miniatures minis that I think marry very well with those of Morannon with the right paint, and I think they have looked good.

A decir verdad ya están acabados los orcos e incluso los dos Gothmog, pero vamos a ir subiendo poco a poco. Si soy sincero hasta tengo bastante avanzado uno de los dos Ents, el de Majestic Bear, que vengo ahora de darle un buen tute y está quedando bien, para mi gusto.

Además de los dos Ents, otra de las posibilidades para El Desafío de Agosto es pintar una compañía de Orcos de Morannon, con un estandarte conversionado a partir de un lancero, un Chamán, otro lancero y las dos versiones de Gothmog en wargo.

Los Gothmog en wargo es que me hacen falta para el Ardacon, uno al menos, y ya puestos pues prefiero pintar los dos a la vez para que el esquema cromático sea el mismo, sobre todo en cuanto a la piel, las ropas ya las he hecho muchas veces y se de memoria cómo van, pero la piel es diferente.

En fin, en unos días me decidiré.

Partiendo de la magnífica figura del Troll de Guerra Edición Especial de la colección de miniaturas de Plomo de Eaglemoss basada en las trilogías de La Tierra Media, he conseguido hacer lo que quería, un Troll de Morannon, con especial cuidado de pintarlo en negro y rojo, piel negra, pero luces en rojo, no en azul como el otro que ya tengo, y que aparece junto al nuevo en la foto final.

Además decidí que la postura no podía ser la misma, debía ser más amenazante, y aunque aún no tengo claro qué arma ponerle si que quiero que esté armado, en principio iba a ser un árbol, luego un tronco incandescente, con humo y todo, pero aún no me he decidido, también pensé en ponerle un martillo gigante, o incluso un escudo todo metálico, pero bueno, ya me decidiré.

Le he puesto de nombre Orloov, y ya ha disputado su primera partida, haciendo 6 bajas al contrario, bueno, 5 al contrario y una a su propio ejército... los Trolls son así...

Me faltan por pintar los modelos montados en wargo, que espero pintar en breve, pero bueno, por ahora, a falta de detalles y las peanas, que como siempre pintaré cuando tenga más Morannon preparados para ello, las minis de Gothmog están listas.

Lista mi compañía de Agosto para El Desafío de La Guerra del Anillo. Más Orcos de Morannon. Me gusta bastante como ha quedado, sobre todo algunas de las minis, me parecen muy chulas y que el pintado ha quedado bastante bien.

He acabado otra compañía, que tenía a falta de las peanas, y las he pintado las 16 a la vez para darles uniformidad, mañana subo la nueva entrada con ellos.

Con esta ya tengo 7 compañías de 8 Orcos de Morannon cada una, perfecto, pero voy a por más, ya tengo imprimados otros 8 y convulsionados 16, además voy a empezar con un Troll de Morannon que espero quede de lujo.
