Desde hace un par de semanas soy el pintor oficial de la gama de ESDLA de la marca española Norba Miniatures. Para mí fue toda una sorpresa, recién llegado de las Hispania recibí un correo en el que se me invitaba a ser el pintor oficial y testador de las minis de ESDLA que van a ir haciendo...

En un primer momento pensé en contestar que sí rápidamente, pero luego lo pensé mejor: No creo que mi pintado sea de una categoría superior, pinto bien, (creo), pero tampoco soy un gran pintor, eso sí, le dedico mucho tiempo al juego y a pintar especialmente, pero para ser el pintor oficial de una marca... en fin, que lo hablé con ellos cuando me puse en contacto con ellos y me han dicho que ya saben perfectamente cuáles son mis cualidades como pintor y es lo que buscan, así que nada, a pintar se ha dicho.

At first I thought answer yes quickly, but then thought better of it: I do not think my painting is of a higher category, I paint well, (I think), but I'm not a great painter, yes, I spend a lot of time game and especially painting, but to be the official painter of a brand ... well, I spoke it with them when I contacted them and they told me they already know perfectly well what my qualities as a painter are and what seek, so nothing to paint it said.

La empresa es de Cáceres y tienen la intención de ir sacando muchas miniaturas para ESDLA.

La cosa es que me mandarán las minis y yo las pintaré y les haré fotos para que ellos las cuelguen en su página web, Facebook, etc... Una gran responsabilidad, puesto que del pintado puede depender que un producto venda más o menos, un buen pintado puede hacer buena a una mini normal o hacer mala a una mini buena, pero bueno, quiero intentarlo, es un nuevo y bonito reto para mí. Hasta ahora siempre había declinado pintar para otros, vender minis, y ahora me llega esto... a por ello.

Para empezar me han mandado los tres Trolls.

For starters I have sent three Trolls.

La resina que usan es buenísima, Capitanmanu, que sabe de esto me lo ha corroborado. El esculpido también es muy bueno, y aunque hay algunas cosillas que no me satisfacen del todo en general son unas minis espectaculares, ahora habrá que darles un pintado acorde a sus características.

Veamos cada mini por separado. La primera es, para mí, un Ogro, tiene pies de humano y también las manos, aunque a los Simpson, con 4 dedos... pero bueno, el cómo llamarlo es lo de menos. La pose es lo que hace un poco extraña a esta miniatura, tiene el cuello encorvado y el casco es bastante Fantasy. La anatomía está perfectamente concebida, y la cara es buenísima bajo un casco amenazador. Mi única pega es el grosor del espadón, pero creo que se podría limar un poco y dejarlo más fino. Yo por ahora voy a pintarlo tal cual está y ya veremos más adelante si me pillo otro le hago algunas conversiones.

Let's look at each mini separately. The first is, for me, an ogre, has human feet and hands, although the Simpsons, with 4 fingers ... but hey, how to call it is not important. The pose is what makes it a little strange to this miniature, has the curved neck and helmet is quite Fantasy. The anatomy is well designed, and the face is lovely under a menacing helmet. My only niggle is the thickness of the broadsword, but I think you could iron out and leave a little thinner. I for now I'll paint it as it is and we'll see later if I catch another will do some conversions.

El segundo me parece una gran miniatura, a mi parecer, y con esa cabeza, otro Ogro, pero bueno, ya he dicho que es lo de menos. Las proporciones y anatomía geniales, y el arma esta vez sí es fina, aunque creo que tienen otra como una maza con pinchos que creo que le vendría mejor, pero esta está muy bien también.

The second seems a miniature, in my opinion, and that head, another ogre, but hey, I said that is the least. Great proportions and anatomy, and the gun this time is fine, although I think they have another like a spiked mace think could do better, but this is fine too.

El tercero también me gusta mucho, este sí tiene cabeza de Troll, un espadón grande y tan exagerado como el primero, unas postura buena y quizás lo único que se me hace un poco raro es el grosor del escudo del brazo izquierdo del Troll, un poco grueso de nuevo, pero me gusta mucho.

The third one I like a lot, this does have head Troll, a large as exaggerated as the first broadsword, a good posture and perhaps the only thing that I find a bit odd is the thickness of the shield on the left arm of the Troll A little thicker again, but I really like.

Además de las minis he recibido unos cascos para usarlos, están muy chulos, os pongo unas fotos.

Y también unos añadidos, dos escudos y una espada totalmente Fantasy. Los escudos uno de cada, uno Fantasy y otro LGDA.

Y esto ha sido todo por ahora, bueno no, me han comentado el tema de lo siguiente: Orcos de Gundabad. Ya tenían cuatro hechos, que se pueden ver en su Facebook, pero tras hablarlo se van a poner a esculpir cuatro más, así que tendremos ocho nuevas minis para Gundabad... bueno, Nuln para ellos.

En breve espero ir subiendo los avances del pintado.
