WILLOW THE GIANT

Voy a ir subiendo los Ents de uno en uno, realmente está acabado este y otro, lo subiré en otra entrada.

El primero fue este Willow, que la verdad es que me gusta como ha quedado. Opté por darle un color oscuro, porque las ramas que trae eran de un verde muy vivo y pensé que con corteza clara iba a dar mucho contraste, así que nada, oscurito. En la base variado, incluso unas florecillas blancas para darles un punto de color.

Y para poner las ramas... uffff, que trabajo. Los dedos pegados por el pegamento, veinte intentonas con cada ramita... un auténtico coñazo, pero el resultado bien lo vale.

I'm going to upload the Ents one by one, this and another one is really finished, I'll upload it in another post.

The first was this Willow, which I really like how it turned out. I chose to give it a dark color, because the branches it brings were very vivid green and I thought that with a light bark it would give a lot of contrast, so nothing, dark. At the base varied, even a few little white flowers to give them a point of color.

And to put the branches ... uffff, what a job. The fingers glued by the glue, twenty attempts with each twig ... a real pain, but the result is well worth it.

El último en caer para tener acabada la compañía fue Dörff, así que hoy os muestro este grupo de Dunlendinos. He seguido el mismo esquema que para los que ya tenía pintados, no era cuestión de ponerme ahora a hacer experimentos o de formar otro grupo-clan de Dunlendinos.

The last to fall to finish the company was Dörff, so today I show you this group of Dunland's Warriors. I have followed the same scheme as for those who had already painted, it was not a matter of starting experiments now or forming another group-clan of Dunland's Warriors.

Me pillé la miniatura en las Hispania de 2019, este año no fui por primera vez desde la segunda edición. La mini en cuestión es de Hidra Studio, y estuvimos Duendegris y un servidor un buen rato charlando con su pintor, el grandioso Arsies.

Y ayer la imprimé y me puse a pintarla, y a verda es que me gusta como ha quedado. Es una miniatura muy muy bonita que me va a servir como Dunlendino, y si en el futuro juego a algo con Vikingos... El escudo es como el de Ragnar Lothbrok, rojos y negros.

I caught the miniature in Hispania in 2019, this year I did not go for the first time since the second edition. The mini in question is from Hydra Studio, and we were Duendegris and a server for a long time chatting with its painter, the great Arsies.

And yesterday I printed it and started painting it, and I really like how it turned out. It is a very very nice miniature that will serve as Dunlendino, and if in the future I play something with Vikings ... The shield is like that of Ragnar Lothbrok, red and black.

Pues eso, que ayer me sobró un poco de masilla verde después de enmasillar los Ents para imprimarlos, y como siempre hice más de la cuenta, siempre me pasa lo mismo. Así que en vez de tirarla miré y vi un trozo de raíz que cogí hace un par de veranos en un camping en Asturias, y es que siempre que voy por ahí me traigo algún trozo de corteza, piedra, raíz... en fin, que me dije, vamos a hacer un Ent con eso y con la masilla.

Cogí mi caja de sobras y encontré un par de brazos de hombres árbol de Fantasy y con eso y unas ramitas de un Barbol antiguo que tenía también con los sobrantes, he montado un Ent, al que aún le queda un poco de trabajo, hacerle los pies sobre todo, y enmasillar, pero bueno, está ya bastante acabado... Ahora toca pintar.

Well, that, yesterday I had a little green putty after capping the Ents to prime them, and as I always did more than I should, the same thing always happens to me. So instead of throwing it away, I looked and saw a piece of root that I picked up a couple of summers ago in a camping in Asturias, and that is that whenever I go around I bring some piece of bark, stone, root ... anyway, that I said to myself, we are going to make an Ent with that and with the putty.

I took my box of leftovers and I found a pair of Fantasy tree men arms and with that and some twigs of an old Treebeard that I also had with the leftovers, I have set up an Ent, who still has a little work left, to do the feet above all, and caulking, but hey, it's quite finished ... Now it's time to paint.

Y ahora en vez de tres tengo cuatro Ents para pintar...

Gracias al amigo Shagrat me ha vuelto el gusanillo de pintar, y es que viendo sus magníficos Ents me han entrado ganas de pintar alguno más. Miré los que tenía almacenados y a punto he estado de ponerme con el Crémharunc, un bicharraco increíble, pero he decidido empezar por algo más pequeño y viendo que me faltaban dos de Majestic Bear Miniatures, Willow y Linden, y los lavé con jabón y monté con pegamento. Lo peor ha sido encontrar una de las peanas, he encontrado una con dos agujeros, pero como no hay otra cosa voy a usar esa, le rellenaré los huecos.

En fin, voy a aprovechar para presentarlos a El Desafío de Abril, parece la cuarentena va para largo aún, y voy a tener tiempo para pintar...

Thanks to the friend Shagrat the painting bug has returned to me, and it is that seeing his magnificent Ents I have wanted to paint some more. I looked at the ones I had stored and I was about to get on with the Crémharunc, an incredible bicharraco, but I decided to start with something smaller and seeing that I was missing two Majestic Bear Miniatures, Willow and Linden, and I washed them with soap and I mounted with glue. The worst has been finding one of the bases, I have found one with two holes, but since there is nothing else I am going to use that one, I will fill in the holes.

Anyway, I am going to take the opportunity to present them to El Desafío of April, it seems the quarantine is going to be long, and I will have time to paint ...

Llevo más de dos meses sin tocar los pinceles, bueno, me puse hace unos días con unos caballos de Rohan, porque con esto de la cuarentena, aunque no tengo ganas de pintar, pues hay que ocupar el tiempo en algo diferente, e ir cambiando de cosas para no caer en el aburrimiento, la cosa es que empecé con los caballos y al cuarto de hora estaba harto y no me gustaba como estaban quedando, así que los dejé y volví a guardar todas las pinturas, pinceles, etc...

I haven't touched the brushes for more than two months, well, I started a few days ago with some Rohan horses, because with this quarantine, although I don't feel like painting, because you have to spend time on something different, and change of things to avoid falling into boredom, the thing is that I started with the horses and after a quarter of an hour I was fed up and I did not like how they were, so I left them and returned to save all the paintings, brushes, etc ...

Sin embargo vi unas matrices que tenía por ahí y cuando las vi me gustaron, eran de Frostgrave, luego he mirado y de la gama Barbarians. La verdad es que está muy bien, con muchas partes, muchas armas, brazos, cabezas, y unos cuerpos que vienen bien para bastantes ejércitos.

En fin, que me puse a montar, primero pensé en montar solo 8 y hacerme El Desafío de marzo rápido, pero viendo que ya se me había pasado el plazo para comenzar lo dejé pasar y pensé en pintar para recuperar pulso... Así hasta que al final monté 15, los cuerpos que venían o mejor dicho, que tenía en las matrices.

Y luego ya puestos elegí ocho y me dispuse a pintar. Y ya tengo cuatro acabados, ayer estuve haciendo las peanas, al estilo de las de los demás Dunlendinos que tengo ya acabados desde hace mucho.

Anyway, I started riding, first I thought about riding only 8 and doing March'S El Desafío quickly, but seeing that the deadline to start had passed, I let it go and I thought about painting to recover my pulse ... that in the end I assembled 15, the bodies that came or rather, that I had in the matrices.

And then after I had chosen eight, I started to paint. And I already have four finishes, yesterday I was making the bases, in the style of those of the other Dunlendinos that I have already finished for a long time.

Este mes no he participado en El Desafío, la verdad es que sigo sin ganas de miniaturas, antes de ayer me puse a pintar un poco pero lo dejé rápido y lo guardé todo de nuevo, así que nada.

En cuanto a El Desafío, ha habido buena participación, con muchas compañías de Gondor, que no es un ejército que me guste especialmente.

Pongo los tres que mas me han gustado y la clasificación tras dos meses...

La que más me ha gustado ha sido la de CptCarlos, no se, esos tonos con esas transiciones en las luces creo que estan muy bien trabajadas.

This month I have not participated in El Desafío, the truth is that I still do not feel like miniatures, before yesterday I started to paint a little but I left it fast and I kept everything again, so nothing.


As for El Desafío, there has been good participation, with many companies from Gondor, which is not an army that I particularly like.

The one that I liked the most was CptCarlos, I don't know, those tones with those transitions in the lights, I think they are very well worked.

La compañía de Hidrojen ha sido la que más me ha gustado de entre las de Gondor.

The company of Hidrojen has been the one that I liked the most among those of Gondor.

Y la de LoGrau de Muertos del Sagrario, a pesar de ser una compañía simple de pintar le ha dado un acabado muy bueno.

And that LoGrau Deaths, despite being a simple company to paint, has given it a very good finish.

Y la clasificación, con CptCarlos ya primero como el año pasado.
