El pasado fin de semana me llegaron por fin las piezas que me faltaban del Dragón de Tamurkhân, y me llegó también el Merwyrm, que voy a convertir en un dragón de las cavernas.

Las miniaturas son de gran calidad, con todo lujo de detalles, y en el caso del Dragón de Tamurkhan, de unas dimensiones colosales.

El Merwyrm viene con una peana marinera, como de ruinas de un naufragio muy chula, quizás se podría intentar hacerlo como medio sumergido en agua, pero con mis experiencias con el agua artificial no creo que me arriesgue ni a pensarlo.

SECOND PLACE IN THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE MINIATURES' PAGE

Hace tiempo me encontré que había un concurso de pintura-conversión en la gran página The Fellowship of the Miniatures, y decidí participar con la Gran Bestia de Gorgoroth, puesto que estaba empezando a pintarla y la temática eran monstruos de la Tierra Media.

Al final hubo seis participantes con un gran calidad, y hoy han salido los resultados, me han dado la segunda plaza, la medalla de plata, y la verdad es que estoy muy contento.

Some time ago I found there was a painting competition in the large-conversion page The Fellowship of the Miniatures, and decided to participate in the Great Beast of Gorgoroth, as it was starting to paint and themes were monsters of Middle-earth.

At the end there were six participants with a high quality, and now the results have come out, they gave me the second place, the silver medal, and the truth is I am very happy.

La verdad es que la mini por la que yo hubiera votado es la que ha quedado en tercer puesto, ese Troll del compañero Chris Clockin, pero claro, la pintura era una de las partes que puntuaban (las otras eran las conversiones y la peana), y en conversiones no lleva nada, lo cual resta puntos.

Ya tengo acabada la compañía para participar en El Desafío Octubre 2015, pero no estoy del todo satisfecho.

He pintado ocho enanos con arco, de plástico, y la calidad del plástico en cuanto al detalle deja mucho que desear en estas minis, al menos con respecto a las mismas de metal, y no quiero bajar el nivel tanto en la competición, así que lo mismo pruebo a intentar hacer otra compañía distinta para este mes y dejo los enanos fuera.

En fin, las fotos de la compañía acabada.

Inicio un nuevo proyecto, para The One Ring, es para presentarlo a el Challenge de Septiembre-Octubre. Había que presentar a una mini montada, y no sabía qué intentar hacer, y vi en la vitrina a Azog en el wargo blanco... esperando a ser pintados... y me han entrado ganas.

Esta mañana me puse a pintar unos enanos, a ver cuánto tardaba, y al final he sido constante y he conseguido acabarlos enteritos, ocho arqueros enanos, con los que sumo 11 arqueros y 20 con hacha.

Como los arqueros no llevan escudo pues he acabado antes de lo previsto, eso sí, tengo en mente ponerles unos escudos a modo de conversión, nada espectacular, pero sí distintivo, creo que quedarían bien.

Ha sido todo un reto, le tenía muchísimo respeto a esta miniatura, no sabía cómo iba a pintarla, cómo hacer para pintar tanto en tan poco tiempo... en fin, y al final he quedado más que satisfecho. Me gustaría mejorar un poco la peana, y creo que lo voy a intentar una vez acabado septiembre, quiero añadir algo de agua...

Ya están todos los pasajeros pintados, queda un poco de retoque en alguno pero ya están los diez pintaditos, qué alivio.

Ahora lo que queda es repintar la cometa-bandera en rojos y ponerle unos cuantos adornos al conjunto, además de la peana del bicho, que todavía no tengo clara cómo hacerla.

Veamos las minis por separado.

El primero va con ropajes en rojo, a juego con el esquema de la bestia.
