El siguiente paso ha sido poner la espuma en la parte superior de las paredes y luego planificar el techo, con la piedra que cae desde arriba hasta sobre la zona del trono del Rey. Ahora toca esperar a que cure completamente la espuma para luego echar más en el techo e intentar que quede como un rompecabezas, de quita y pon.

Después de una semana, la pasada, en la que estuve arreglando los cuatro módulos viejos para llevarlos al torneo IV El Borde Sur que se celebró en Mairena del Aljarafe, esta semana he vuelto a la ampliación.

Bueno, primero decir que me gustó mucho el torneo, disfruté de mis tres partidas, con rivales magníficos, conocí a nuevos jugadores, me reencontré con algunos, incluso algunos a los que no recordaba, porque por lo que me dijeron jugué con ellos hace 15 años, cuando tenían apenas 13 o 14 años... en fin, bien. Además me llevé el premio de Mejor mesa de juego y La Ciudad Bajo la Montaña tuvo buena aceptación.

 

After a week, last, in which I was arranging the four old modules to take them to the IV El Borde Sur tournament that was held in Mairena del Aljarafe, this week I have returned to the extension.  

Well, first of all, I would like to say that I really liked the tournament, I enjoyed my three games, with magnificent opponents, I met new players, I met some again, even some I didn't remember, because from what they told me I played with them 15 years ago. years, when they were just 13 or 14 years old... well, well. I also won the prize for Best Game Table and The City Under the Mountain was well received.

 

Esta semana como digo he estado liado otra vez con la ampliación, y listos ya los cuatro módulos de suelo me he dedicado a preparar los módulos de las paredes, que finalmente van a ir unidos a dos de los módulos, los últimos, con lo que evito problemas de transporte y de luego tener que colocar. 

Hice el diseño para todo quedara uniforme, he tenido que echar bastante más espuma de poliuretano, pero bueno, es lo que quería hacer, así que bien. Ya tengo las paredes con el acabado casi definitivo, y estoy con la zona del techo, pero antes os muestro qué tal va la cosa.

 

This week, as I say, I have been busy again with the extension, and now that the four floor modules are ready, I have dedicated myself to preparing the wall modules, which will finally be attached to two of the modules, the last ones, with which I avoid transport problems and then having to place. 

 I made the design for everything to be uniform, I had to add a lot more polyurethane foam, but hey, it's what I wanted to do, so good. I already have the walls with the almost final finish, and I'm working on the ceiling area, but first I'll show you how things are going.

Acabo de terminar el tercero. Mañana tengo torneo en Mairena del Aljarafe, más que nada voy para llevar la mesa de La Ciudad Bajo la Montaña, pero de camino me apunté y jugaré con Trasgos, y esta tarde cuando me pongo a sacar los trasgos para guardarlos y llevármelos... vaya por dios, resulta que tengo justamente los que me hacen falta, así que me he puesto a pintar unos cuantos, han caído tres más.

I just finished the third. 0028 FERRARI FXX

Un Ferrari negro, con una línea grusea blanca cruzando el coche de morro a cola... raro, pero precioso como todos estos coches. Creo que no es de ninguna colección, al menos no la he encontrado, pero me gusta mucho el coche.

A black Ferrari, with a thick white line running across the car from nose to tail... rare, but precious like all these cars. I don't think it's from any collection, at least I haven't found it, but I really like the car.

TEXTURIZANDO EL TERRENO

Después de poner la espuma de poliuretano tocaba el momento de dar un poco de textura al terreno, así que preparé un mejungue a base de cola blanca, agua y arena de distintos grosores para aplicarla por toda la base, y de camino a algunas otras partes. Aún no está acabado el trabajo con la espuma de poliuretano, pero lo que falta, principalmente una sola esquina alta, ya la haré cuando esté el texturizado seco, que lleva un par de días secándose, creo que lo diluí demasiado...

 

After putting the polyurethane foam it was time to give the terrain a bit of texture, so I prepared a concoction based on white glue, water and sand of different thicknesses to apply it all over the base, and on the way to some other parts . The work with the polyurethane foam is not finished yet, but what is missing, mainly a single high corner, I will do it when the texturing is dry, which has been drying for a couple of days, I think I diluted it too much...

 

 

 

 

 

0027 LAMBORGHINI MIURA P400

El Lamborghini Miura P400 es uno de mis favoritos, un Lamborghini clásico con un perfil perfectamente identificable y en esta miniatura detalles de mucho nivel, como los focos delanteros ligeramente alzados, había visto este coche en otras ocasiones en esta escala, también con el característico amarillo, pero esos focos así no. Gran trabajo el de la colección Dream Cars de Altaya.

The Lamborghini Miura P400 is one of my favourites, a classic Lamborghini with a perfectly identifiable profile and in this miniature high-level details, such as the slightly raised headlights, I had seen this car on other occasions in this scale, also with the characteristic yellow , but those lights are not like that. Great job on the Altaya Dream Cars collection.

Pues eso, hora de hacer el terreno rocoso. Yo lo hice la otra vez con espuma de poliuretano y no voy a cambiarlo ahora, así que dos botes que tengo aquí voy a usar, y si hace falta alguno más pues me pillaré otro.

Ah, y he colocado antes de que seque, unos trozos de corcho que van a dar una ruptura en el terreno para que no sea tan monótono.

0026 FERRARI 166 MM

El tercer Ferrari seguido que llegaba en el pack. Cuando me llega un pack con varios los voy numerando según van saliendo de la caja, y este fue el tercero seguido con el caballito negro.

Es un coche de carreras antiguo, con formas redondeadas y descapotable, una preciosidad muy antigua.

It is an old racing car, with rounded shapes and a convertible, a very old beauty.

Antes de irme al curro hoy me he puesto a pegar con silicona las planchas de poliestireno expandido que he ido cortando para luego aplicar la espuma y crear las rocas.

Además he comprobado que salen tres configuraciones diferentes con los cuatro módulos nuevos, y eso que antes ya eran 6, ¡esto va a ser un rompecabezas!

Y por último un trozo de corcho para el que tengo previsto hacer algo especial, bueno, con este y con otro que estoy todavía preparando.

Before going to work today I started to glue the expanded polystyrene sheets that I have been cutting with silicone and then apply the foam and create the rocks. 

I have also verified that three different configurations come out with the four new modules, and that before there were already 6, this is going to be a puzzle! 

And finally a piece of cork for which I plan to do something special, well, with this one and with another one that I am still preparing.

0025 FERRARI 458 ITALIA

De la misma tanda que el anterior es este Ferrari 458 Italia, modelo una vez más en rojo Ferrari. Un coche muy bonito con unas ópticas alargadas interesantes y el interior en marrón anaranjado, un tanto extraño, pero que queda muy chulo.

From the same batch as the previous one is this Ferrari 458 Italia, model once again in Ferrari red. A very nice car with interesting long optics and an orange-brown interior, a bit strange, but very cool.

 

 

 

 

AMPLIANDO LA CIUDAD BAJO LA MONTAÑA

EXPANDING THE CITY UNDER THE MOUNTAIN

 

 

 

Desde hace unos meses tenía en mente ampliar mi mesa de La Ciudad Bajo la Montaña, o La Ciudad de los Trasgos, la que aparece en El Hobbit, y es que aunque estoy más que satisfecho con lo que tengo hecho, creo que le faltan cosas, sobre todo echaba en falta el trono del Rey Trasgo, y para ello, hace poco, me comprometí a llevar la mesa a las Hispania para hacer partidas de iniciación, y ya de camino, hacerle la amplación que quería.

Al principio iba a ser montar un par más de módulos de forma que pudiera organizar los 6 de varias formas, al igual que ahora mismo puedo hacer hasta 6 configuraciones diferentes con los 4 módulos que hay.

Pero luego se me ocurrió hacer algo más espectacular, ponerle paredes y techo, poner pasarelas por las paredes, puentes colgantes... y por supuesto la piedra que sale del fondo de la montaña y en la que está el Trono del Rey Trasgo.

Para ello he decidido ampliar con 4 módulos más de 60x60 cm, y a dos de ellos hacerles paredes en dos de sus laterales y un techo de 120x60 que los una, quedando una parte cerrada.

 

At first it was going to be to mount a couple more modules so that I could organize the 6 in various ways, just like right now I can make up to 6 different configurations with the 4 modules that are there.  

But then it occurred to me to do something more spectacular, put walls and a roof on it, put walkways through the walls, suspension bridges... and of course the stone that comes out of the bottom of the mountain and on which is the Throne of the Goblin King. 

For this I have decided to expand with 4 more modules of 60x60 cm, and two of them make walls on two of their sides and a 120x60 ceiling that joins them, leaving a closed part.

 

 

Va a ser una tarea complicada, pero tengo muchas ganas de ponerme, y hoy por fin he estado un rato liado cortando poliestireno extrusionado. Hasta ahora, con las fiestas, no me había podido poner, solo había estado cortando palitos de madera para hacer maderos con los que hacer las pasarelas, he hecho hasta una para ver cómo queda, y no queda nada mal.

Pero hoy si que he hecho el replanteo de las zonas horizontales, que van a ser lor primero que haga, y luego ya me pondré con las paredes y techo.

But today I have done the rethinking of the horizontal areas, which will be the first thing I do, and then I'll start with the walls and ceiling.

0024 FERRARI 250 GTO

Tras los anteriores coches volvemos a tener unas cuantas de Ferrari, comenzando por este Ferrari 250 GTO de 1962. Como suele ser habitual en los Ferrari, de color rojo, y con unas ópticas muy bonitas, redondeadas y prominentes. Otro bonito Ferrari para el garaje.

0023 BUGATTI VEYRON

Y por fin, tras muchos años conseguí al Bugatti Veyron. Desde que salió en la colección de Dream Cars, de Altaya, allá por 2006, me gustó, pero nunca lo tuve cerca para pillarlo. Finalmente en este lote de coches lo he conseguido. 

La miniatura hace honor a lo que esperaba, y esos colores ya icónicos para mi... rojo y negro, negro y rojo y su espectaculares líneas... una delicia de coche. ¡Al garaje!.

And finally, after many years I got the Bugatti Veyron. Since it came out in Altaya's Dream Cars collection, back in 2006, I liked it, but I never had it around to catch it. Finally in this lot of cars I have achieved it.  

The miniature lives up to what I expected, and those already iconic colors for me... red and black, black and red and its spectacular lines... a delightful car. To the garage!

 

 

 

 

0022 PAGANI ZONDA CINQUE

Pasada de miniatura. No sabía que se podían hacer estas cosas, un cochazo. Y no es el único, pero sí ha sido de los primeros. Tantas curvas y tantas superficies... una pasada, de verdad. 

El Pagani Zonda es de esos coches que salen pocas unidades, son para adinerados a los que les sobra dónde invertir, y difícilmente vas a ver uno en tu vida, pero mira, en miniatura también está chulísimo.

Thumbnail pass. She didn't know that these things could be done, a big car. And he is not the only one, but he has been one of the first. So many curves and so many surfaces... amazing, really. 

 The Pagani Zonda is one of those cars that only a few units come out, they are for the wealthy who have plenty of where to invest, and you will hardly see one in your life, but look, in miniature it is also very cool.
