HEROES OF THE DWARVES 03

Este fin de semana es el Nacional, y tengo que tener acabadas las minis que voy a llevar, concretamente los cuatro héroes de los enanos y el Troll de Morannon. Ya tengo la mitad hecha, los enanos.

Al final satisfecho con el resultado, son unas minis increíblemente bien esculpidas, más fuertes que los enanos de GW, pero para algo van a ser el grupo de mando de mi ejército: Campeón del Rey, sus Heraldos y el Portador del Escudo, casi nada.

Hace ya unos meses que me embarqué en esto, en hacer una revista al estilo de la National Geographic pero de la Tierra Media, y como no, le puse de nombre Middle Earth Geographic.

La tengo acabada desde entonces, desde junio, y fue parte de mi trasfondo para lograr ganar al Ejército Mejor Conversionado en el Torneo de Talavera de la Reina, pero aún no la tenía impresa en condiciones, allí me la tuve que llevar en el portátil.

Ahora ando intentando que me la impriman, y espero que la semana que viene pueda tenerla acabada. Problemas con el PDF hacen que por ahora no haya podido, pero la semana que viene lo intentaré yo mismo con mi impresora, ya os diré qué tal ha ido, y si puedo la subiré en pdf al blog.

A few months ago I embarked on this, to make a magazine in the style of National Geographic but Middle-earth, and of course, I named it Middle Earth Geographic.

I have finished it since then, since June, and it was part of my background to win the Best Conversion Army in the Talavera de la Reina Tournament, but I still did not have it printed, I had to take it there on my laptop.

Now I'm trying to get it printed, and I hope that next week I can have it finished. Problems with PDF do not have been able for now, but next week I will try it myself with my printer, I'll tell you how it went, and if I can upload it in pdf to the blog.

Para este primer número el plato fuerte era mostrar La Ciudad Bajo la Montaña, para lo cual estuve haciendo fotos, y unidas a relatos que tenía hechos desde hace tiempo y más fotos conseguí reunir 80 páginas, tratando los temas de portada y algunos menores, ya digo que todo al estilo de la National Geographic. Incluso me pude inventar algunos anuncios con el Photoshop.

For this first issue the highlight was to show The City Under the Mountain, for which I was taking photos, and together with stories that had been done for a long time and more photos I managed to gather 80 pages, dealing with the cover topics and some minor ones, since I say everything in the style of National Geographic. I could even invent some ads with Photoshop.

Y lo mejor de todo es que ya estoy liado y casi para empezar a maquetar el número 2, para llevármelo impreso al Torneo Nacional de Granada el próximo 28 de septiembre...

Pues después de años, Games Workshop por fin se digna a sacar algo "nuevo" de El Señor de los Anillos, y digo "nuevo", porque realmente es un refrito de lo anterior, parece que lo que han querido es quitarse de en medio unas cuantas cajas de minis viejas de plástico que tenían en almacén sin darle salida, y de camino cambiar precios, meter una mini nueva, porque la caja solamente lleva una mini nueva, de Theoden a caballo, y hacer una reestructuración parcial (Sólo de las minis de La Guerra del Anillo, no de El Hobbit), en cuanto a las reglas y perfiles, en fin, a mi juicio más de lo mismo. Aunque al menos se han acordado de nosotros...

Pues tras una noche y un día de pintura a ratos ya tengo a estos tres casi listos, casi porque como siempre hay que acabar las peanas, hacer detalles mejor y en este caso pasar por el pincel de las tintas que siempre hago al final, pero vamos, más o menos ya están listos.

En un par de semanas se celebra en Granada el Torneo Nacional de El Señor de los Anillos auspiciado por la página La Guerra del Anillo de la que soy administrador desde hace ya unos años. Es la cuarta edición del Torneo Nacional, y hasta ahora no he ido a ninguno, en los tres años anteriores me ha pillado de vacaciones en el extranjero o por ahí, y no he podido ir, pero este año, si la cosa no se tuerce a última hora podré ir.

Ya haré una entrada con todo lo que allí acontezca, pero por ahora a lo que voy: Necesito pintarme unos cuantos héroes enanos para mi lista de 400 puntos de la Luz, y es que hay que llevar una lista de la oscuridad de 400 puntos y otra de la Luz además de la lista a 800 de tu ejército.

La cosa es que en mi lista llevo, recomendado por varios amigos, a El Campeón del Rey y sus Heraldos y al Portador del Escudo, así que como no los tengo pintados pues me dispongo a ello, pero ya puestos he decidido pintar unas minis que tenía por aquí desde hace tiempo de Black Chapel Miniatures, una empresa española con unas minis increíbles, y que en el caso de los enanos quedan muy bien con los de GW, sobre todo para héroes o personajes destacados.

Yo me he decidido por estos tres para representar a los que necesito. A la izquierda tenemos un Venerable como uno de los Heraldos del Campeón del Rey, el otro va a ser uno de los de GW, en el centro tenemos a Chief como El Campeón del Rey, y a la izquierda un Warrior como El Portador del Escudo.

Como estoy pintando mi ejército de Morannon, y tras pintar unos cuántos de Capitanes de Morannon, me hacía falta pintar algún héroe con nombre... es decir: Gothmog. Me decidí a pintar los dos modelos que hay a la vez, pera que al menos los colores sean los mismos. Me faltan por pintar los modelos montados en wargo, que espero pintar en breve, pero bueno, por ahora, a falta de detalles y las peanas, que como siempre pintaré cuando tenga más Morannon preparados para ello, las minis de Gothmog están listas.

Parece que Games Workshop quiere revitalizar el juego de El Señor de los Anillo y El Hobbit, o como lo han pasado a llamar ahora Juego de Batallas Estratégicas de la Tierra Media, casi ná.

Bueno, por ahora lo que han hecho es sacar una nueva Caja de Inicio, que tengo pedida y creo y espero que llega el martes que viene, ya hablaré entonces de ella, y un libro nuevo de Ejércitos, que por lo que he visto y leído es un pequeño refrito en cuanto a montaje, no aporta nada nuevo, simplemente se han "corregido" algunos perfiles de algunas miniaturas. Este Libro de Ejércitos viene a sustituir el último de El Hobbit, además quedamos todo a la espera de que pronto aparezca la actualización de los perfiles de las miniaturas de El Hobbit, puesto que este solo es de El Señor de los Anillos, un poco lioso, y además esto parece hecho para en un futuro sacar un compendio completo con el que volver a sacarnos más pasta.

También han sacado unos dados para Ejércitos de Mordor, Rohan y genérico, en colores rojo, verde y amarillo. No son ni mucho menos como los preciosos que sacaran al principio de cada facción, y de la cual aún ando buscando los de Lothlorien, pero tampoco están mal. Al menos esta vez el dibujo sustituye al 6 y no al 1 como en los viejos (vaya cagada).

Por cierto, estoy pensándome en hacerme unos dados míos con el Dragón de mi avatar en vez del 6... creo que voy a hacerlo, dados personalizados...

Me he pillado un Ogro para tunearlo y convertirlo en un Ogro de los de Gundabad, y una Gárgola que voy a convertir en un Morador de la Oscuridad para el ejército de Moria, porque la verdad es que creo que queda fenomenal para conseguir más variedad, incluso de tamaño es perfecto, como se puede ver en la segunda foto.
