TRASFONDO DE LOS PIQUEROS URUK-HAI DE MARZO...

Acabo de terminar el trasfondo de mis Rufianes, mi compañía de Abril para El Desafío, y cuando iba a subirlo aquí veo que no he subido el de los Piqueros Uruk-hai... así que nada, y perdón por el retraso...

I just finished the background of my Ruffians, my April company for The Challenge, and when I was going to upload it here I see that I haven't uploaded the one for the Uruk-hai Pikemen... so nothing, and sorry for the delay...

 

Sauron fue le verdadero creador de los Uruk-hais, una suerte de mezcla entre orcos y trasgos creada para superar las limitaciones de ambos a la hora de enfrentarse a la luz del sol. De su mezcla surgiría una raza llamada a ser la joya de la corona de las tropas de La Mano Blanca.

De pieles muy oscuras, casi negras, y a veces rojizas, con grandes ojos amarillos y cabello largo y negro, tienen una gran planta en un campo de batalla. Unas piernas fuertes grandes y musculadas los hacían elevarse por encima del metro ochenta, a veces más de dos metros.

Con una gran fuerza y un tamaño mucho más importante que el de otras razas de orcos o trasgos, también poseían más intelecto, lo cual los hacía peligrosos, pero no por darles la capacidad de pensar más que otras tropas de la fuerzas de la Oscuridad y hacerlos caer en el temor a empresas imposibles, sino porque al revés, no tenían miedo a nada ni nadie, convirtiéndose rápidamente en la fuerza de élite de Saruman, su lugarteniente a la sombra de Sauron.

En combate o en descanso los Uruk-hais tenían una respiración profunda y ruidosa, gruñían frecuentemente y hacían muecas como de dolor continuamente.

Los Uruk-hais se saben superiores a los orcos, a los que despectivamente denominan gusanos (Snaga), y están dispuestos siempre para la batalla, no en vano, han recibido un adiestramiento largo y prolongado con mucha disciplina siempre enfocada a acabar con el enemigo, sea este cual sea.

Siempre son fieles a un jefe, que son cuidadosamente elegidos para ser entrenados como tal, y a sabiendas de que tendrán bajo su mando a un gran número de máquinas de matar. Son capaces de usar arietes o ballestas, algo impensable para otras razas “menores”, y su fortaleza los hace capaces de empuñar grandes espadones o largas picas durante muchas horas a un ritmo frenético.

De entre las distintas armas que pueden portar estos seres está la pica, una suerte de lanza de unos 4 ó 5 metros de longitud con una punta acerada que les sirve para trabajar en grupos de tres, apoyando a un primer Uruk-hai normalmente el más corpulento y fuerte, que a su vez va apoyado por un lancero, quedando el piquero detrás para con su larga vara servir de tercer peligro para el enemigo.

 

Sauron was the true creator of the Uruk-hais, a kind of mix between orcs and goblins created to overcome the limitations of both when facing sunlight. From their mixture would emerge a race called to be the jewel in the crown of the White Hand troops. 

With very dark skin, almost black, and sometimes reddish, with large yellow eyes and long black hair, they have a large footprint on a battlefield. Strong, large, muscular legs made them rise above six feet, sometimes more than two meters.  

With great strength and a much larger size than other races of orcs or goblins, they also had more intellect, which made them dangerous, but not because it gave them the ability to think more than other troops of the forces of Darkness and make them fall into fear of impossible undertakings, but because on the contrary, they were not afraid of anything or anyone, quickly becoming the elite force of Saruman, his lieutenant in the shadow of Sauron. 

In combat or at rest, the Uruk-hais had deep, noisy breathing, grunted frequently, and grimaced as if in pain continuously.  

The Uruk-hais know they are superior to the orcs, whom they contemptuously call worms (Snaga), and they are always ready for battle, not in vain, they have received long and prolonged training with a lot of discipline always focused on ending the enemy , whatever this may be.  

They are always loyal to a boss, who are carefully chosen to be trained as such, and knowing that they will have a large number of killing machines under their command. They are capable of using battering rams or crossbows, something unthinkable for other “lesser” races, and their strength makes them capable of wielding large swords or long pikes for many hours at a frenetic pace.  

Among the different weapons that these beings can carry is the pike, a kind of spear about 4 or 5 meters long with a steel tip that is used to work in groups of three, supporting a first Uruk-hai, usually the most corpulent and strong, who in turn is supported by a spearman, with the pikeman remaining behind to serve as a third danger for the enemy with his long staff.

Se me acaba el tiempo, llega la Feria del pueblo y tengo que acabar mi compañía para El Desafío de Abril, así que hoy con el tiempo de lluvia he aprovechado para dar un empujón a las minis y he pintado cuatro que casi están ya listas, sí tengo que trabajar más el fuego de la antorcha y otras cosas, ah, y pintar las bases, pero eso cuando estén todas. Queda una, la que va al MasterMini también, a ver si esa puedo trabajarla bien, quiero dejarla chula.

I'm running out of time, the Town Fair is coming and I have to finish my company for The April Challenge, so today with the rainy weather I took the opportunity to give the minis a push and I have painted four that are almost ready, Yes, I have to work more on the torch fire and other things, oh, and paint the bases, but that's when they're all there. There is one left, the one that goes to the MasterMini too, let's see if I can work on that one well, I want to make it cool.

Hoy he dado por finalizados estos tres primeros rufianes, a falta de las bases, claro. Creo que no han quedado mal.

La semana pasada comencé a pintar los rufianes, que se me echa el tiempo encima, y ahora llegan un par de semanas entretenidas, así que nada, a darles caña. He comenzado por estos cuatro, capas base de piel, alguna más trabajada, y de las ropas.
