Pues sí, finales de septiembre y octubre va a ser un periodo que más que para pintar me sirva para curtirme en torneos y concursos. Aún me queda el del fin de semana que viene en e Alcalá de Henares, el IV Ent Cuentro que organizan allí unos buenos amigos, y al que fui el año pasado y voy a intentar no fallar, porque la verdad es que el ambiente fue estupendo. Encima este año regalan una miniatura exclusiva a todos los participantes, y habrá 64 participantes, todo un récord.

Pero bueno, lo primero es hablar del IV Nacional celebrado del 28 al 30 de septiembre en Armilla, Granada, por Juanto y Santi. Todo fue perfecto. La organización exquisita, el ambiente muy bueno como siempre, da gusto reencontrarse con los amigos de vicio, como Narsil, Santi, Duendegris, que por fin se vino a jugar y no solo a mirar, Torrekampeño, Vilsenas, Caminero, Sergio, (mi compañero de cabaña), Viriato, Pezu, Tito Dáin, y reencontrarme con algunos viejos amigos de hace ya muchos años, y a los que no veía desde hacía ya también muchos años: Rey Éomer, Ugluk_Syl o Arthedain... un placer volver a compartir el finde con ellos. Y muchos otros que me dejo, éramos 44 participantes. Y entre tanto jugador no hubo ningún pero.
La organización como he dicho exquisita, con regalos para todos de una caja de las nuevas, un dado, actividades como el partido de fútbol del domingo, o los arcos, facilidades para comer en el centro comercial, alojamiento de diez, tranquilo y con aparcamiento... en fin, de diez.
En cuanto al torneo en sí, yo iba con la esperanza de hacer algo en el Personalizado, para ello había preparado una mesa nueva, para usarla como peana escénica, y además había conseguido imprimir mis dos revistas de Middle Earth Geographic como trasfondo, además de presentar un ejército con muchísimas conversiones, así que había apostado fuerte por el Personalizado, sabiendo que en las partidas no soy de lo mejorcito precisamente, aunque no me fue nada mal: Gané la primera a Chuspartano 32-0, pero luego caí con Sergio en el dobles, no nos fue bien con los enanos. Y para acabar Migueliverson me masacró, pero acabé en total el 17 de los 44 participantes, mucha culpa de ello la tuvo el pintado y el personalizado, que conseguí ganar.
La verdad es que me ha hecho mucha ilusión ganarlo, porque allí estaba la flor y nada del juego, y aunque la apuesta por mi parte era muy fuerte, había cosas muy chulas también. A partir de ahora, como dije cuando recogí el Diploma, no quiero participar en los premios, si me vendrán bien los puntos que den en los torneos, para no quedar último, pero de ganar nada, hay que dejar pasar a los nuevos y no aburrirlos.
En fin, un fin de semana de lujo y un hasta dentro de poco a todos, porque el 20 nos vemos en Alcalá de Henares.

The truth is that I was very excited to win, because there was the flower and nothing of the game, and although the bet on my part was very strong, there were very cool things too. Y luego estaba el Armies on Parade, una suerte de concurso que organizan las tiendas de Games Workshop y al que nunca había acudido, más que nada porque no considero que mi nivel de pintura sea suficiente, pero este año cuando iba a guardar la mesa de La Ciudad Bajo la Montaña me dio por ahí y decidí llevarla al concurso junto a los trasgos que tengo pintados. Ayer fue el fallo, y la verdad es que he quedado satisfecho: Bronce. Había unos montajes muy chulos, y el que ganó pinta que da susto. El que se llevó la plata presentaba una mesa con leds y muy bonita, así que tercer puesto no está nada mal, aunque creo que volveré un año de estos con algo más reconocible (si cabe, porque la Ciudad de los Trasgos es fácilmente reconocible), para intentar asaltar el oro.
